LocateMe2
iPhone Maps application approximates location using cell tower information. It has one drawback, it shows map on a medium zoom so you cannot pinpoint exact position. LocateMe fix this by showing you a drawing pin with coordinates printed above. You can now zoom in, zoom out or even move your map and your location stays intact.
How to install
Download LocateMe.zip file to your computer, unpack it and load into /Applications folder on your iPhone. After you do that, change permisions executing following commands:
- chmod 755 /Applications/LocateMe2.app/locate
-
- chmod 755 /Applications/LocateMe2.app/find-wifi
- chmod 755 /Applications/LocateMe2.app/find-bts
- chmod 775 /Applications/LocateMe2.app/open
- chmod 775 /Applications/LocateMe2.app/alert
Now restart Springboard and you're ready to go. Special thanks to Erica Sadun for binaries used in LocateMe.
